New Christmas Music: "The Reason"

Reginald Collaborates Again With Saxophonist Leighton Kennedy

“The Reason” is the new gospel Christmas EP by Reginald Reid and Leighton Kennedy.  The two instrumentalists reconnected this fall, six years after Reginald coproduced most of Leighton’s debut saxophone project, “My Heart.”

The project reconsiders a traditional hymn and two contemporary christian Christmas hits with a touch of smooth saxophone sounds, creating an atmosphere to meditate and praise Christ the King. The project is produced by Reginald  and Leighton.

testimonials

Lorree K. Slye

"There is not enough that can be said about Reggie Reid. He is an extremely talented and accomplished musician with a signature sound. His demeanor as a professional producer is a testament to Kingdom-building.

He allows the Holy Spirit to use him in every aspect of the musical creative process and the results are fantastic, infused with a "crazy" anointing, full and fresh. He is seasoned and brings the right flavor to his work creating a delectable entree of fascinating rhythms, wonderful chord progressions and angelic string lines overlaying such a smooth foundation."

Angela Bryant Brown

"Reginald Reid is the musical gift and partner that God gave me in 1992. He and I have maintained this relationship over the years since. He is not only my producer, songwriting buddy, and pianist, but he is a friend. A man who takes his ministry and gift to heart.

I love Reggie for what he brings to my ministry. He is definitely a foundational part of it and I pray he will continue to bless me with his gift and friendship until we have finished our God-anointed purpose."

"Reggie has been a blessing to me, because with all of his experience and talent, he still has chosen to work with me. I'm very new to the music world and it can be a frightening place, but he takes the time to educate me and be a big protective brother in all of this. He has shaped me as an artist and at the same time has allowed me to find my voice.

He has amazing musical talent, but seeks to tastefully display the gift God has given to him. He is faithful and a man of integrity when it comes to the business of music."
